This was a bug in the way we built the 1.3 binaries.  Sorry.

I believe the issue is fixed in one of the recent devbuilds:

  http://www.sci.utah.edu/devbuilds/imagevis3d/

Please let us know if that does not fix your issue.

We really need to do a 1.4 release...

The primary factor is going to be the GPU, and if you've got a good
GPU, the next most important thing the transfer speed of your disk[s].
Any computer bought in the last few years which doesn't use an Intel
GPU is probably going to be fine.  We're working on i965 support, but
not quite there yet...
