Hello,

I have some difficulties understanding the block semantics in the block header
of a uvf-file.

In the paper about the uvf-file format linked in "Getting Data into
ImageVis3D"
(http://www.sci.utah.edu/publications/krueger08/UnifiedVolumeFormat.pdf) there
is a Block Semantics Table, according to which e.g. a 1 denotes an
"N-dimensional transfer function" and so on.

However, in the example in the same paper, the 1 is supposed to describe
"volume data".

Also, I was trying to read some example files (e.g. hand16.uvf) from the
homepage,
and I was surprised to find Block Semantic ID's like 5, 6 and 7, which don't
appear in the paper at all.

So I am wondering: Is there an updated version of the Block Semantics Table?
And what do the other numbers mean?

Thanks a lot,

Sophie Schrader
