Hi,
Can anyone forward some info to me on the "Use a Custom Expression" option in the Merge Files window?

I have a data set with a lot of extraneous information which I'd like to subtract out in order to get to the needed details. Because I need more than the one clipping plane, I'm considering options like defining a 3D volume and setting its density to 1.0, then subtracting that from my data using the merge feature. Could I define this volume using an expression?

Alternately, if I could define this volume elsewhere (Photoshop macro producing a stack of tiffs maybe?) could I then subtract that second volume from my data set?

Is there a way to edit my data and save out the results of the transfer function? If so, that might also generate useful data for subtracting from the unprocessed data set.

thanks
Scott Krehbiel
