Quoting "Steven G. Parker" <sparker@cs.utah.edu>:
Let us know if you have any more questions. If it would make sense
to have a conference call at some point, we would be willing to set
one up.
Thanks a lot for your prompt and detailed reply Steve. It's always a privilege
to get your answers from the person who actually wrote the original code !
As a result, I think I have a reasonable understanding of how the rendering
stack works, which will suffice for now.
To put the approach taken by Manta into context, would you agree that
it uses a
"Sort-Last" approach to parallel rendering as defined in the paper below ?
A sorting classification for parallel rendering

I'm now studying the parallel pipelining code to understand how the
multi-threading is used to render and display each frame; so I may require you
indulgence to answer some questions about this soon :)
Thankyou for offering to setup a conference call for more detailed discussion.
I'm off on vacation (for 2wks) from this weekend so I don't think this can
happen until mid April, but it would indeed be helpful to speak with you
directly when I've exhausted my own efforts.
Cheers
Shree
