Come on, people! No matter how many times you send "unsubscribe" to
the mailing list, you're not going to get unsubscribed., you're just
BROADCASTING YOUR MESSAGE TO EVERY READER OF THE LIST!
I was sure by now people would have figured that out from the dozen
other "unsubscribe" messages we've all been getting in your inbox from
everyone else doing it wrong.
Not to mention that an administrator already sent to the list detailed
instructions on how to unsubscribe.
Let me reiterate for you:
Send an email to THIS ADDRESS: sympa@lists.sci.utah.edu
Put THIS TEXT in the body: unsubscribe map3d-users <your email address>
Why do you need to put your email address if you're sending it an
email in the first place? I don't know. Once I try it out I won't be
around anymore to tell you about it.
Alright? don't keep telling all of us poor subscribers that you want
out, there's nothing we can do about it unless some poor administrator
decides to take you out of your misery.
Thank you, have a nice day.
(PS: I realize, reading over this again, that it might sound too
genuinely mean and angry to send to total strangers. It's not, of
course; it's just classic over-the-top "internet rant" for humorous
effect. Please don't take it personally!)
