Do you have LD_LIBRARY_PATH env var set to something? If so try unsetting it and running again..
If this is not the case it may be hard to identify what has gone awry with your configuration. There is a rh8 rpm that you could install, you may want to try that.

This messages appears if I execute the application as root. When executing like a normal user it just shows the message:

Initializing the tcl packages: tcl, Segmentation fault

I would be very grateful If you have further information.
