Hi,

   We have briefly looked into creating a cygwin port.  However, we
ran into numerous problems that led us to believe that it would take a
significant amount of effort to successfully port SCIRun to cygwin.
At this point in time, there are no plans to do so.  However, we have
held continuing discussions about creating a native Windows port of
SCIRun.  Unfortunately, at this point SCI has not committed to this
and there is as yet no planned date at which we might even commence
looking at this project.
