Hello again,
I was informed by another member that he was able to get SCIRun working
in Fedora when he installed it from source. So, I proceeded to attempt
the installation from source using the step-by-step instructions
provided on this webpage:
http://software.sci.utah.edu/doc/Installation/Guide/linux/srig.html
I was able to compile and build all of the individual packages that I
wanted to use: BioPSE, MatlabInterface, Teem, and Insight. I also first
installed the 3rd party tools. The configuration command I used to
build SCIRun is:
../src/configure \
--with-thirdparty=/usr/local/SCIRun/Thirdparty/1.24.1/Linux/gcc-3.4.3-32bit
\
--enable-package="BioPSE MatlabInterface Teem Insight" \
--with-insight=/usr/local/lib/InsightToolkit
After doing the "make" everything seemed to build completely without an
errors. However, when I go to run scirun it gives me an error:
./scirun: error while loading shared libraries:
/usr/local/SCIRun/Thirdparty/1.24.1/Linux/gcc-3.4.3-32bit/lib/libteem.so:
cannot restore segment prot after reloc: Permission denied
I don't understand what this error means, and I don't know how to fix
it. I would appreciate it if any of you have encountered this error can
guide me in the right direction. Thanks in advance for your help!
