Yes, your approach seems reasonable.

Please send me what you typed into TransformData, as well as the error message that you got. I think it's possible that you need to change the "data at" for the output from FieldBoundary (i.e. add a ChangeFieldDataAt with the value set to "linear" / "data at nodes") before you send it in to TransformData.
