There is no hard coded limit. You can definately feed datasets big enough to
run out of memory.
By default showfield will try to render all of nodes edges and faces for your
dataset. try turning some of these off before executing.

Hi all,
I think I've run into a memory limit in SCIRun:
malloc: *** vm_allocate(size=1073741824) fail
ed (error code=3)
It seems to hit a ceiling at a gig? I've tried this on two machines,
both macs, one with 2GB and one with 4GB of RAM. The module throwing
the error is ShowField. Do any of you know if this is hardcoded or if
it might be a bug? If it's a bug perhaps I can go digging...
