[SCIRUN-USERS] Error starting SCIRun with ./scirun

I have followed the steps outlined in the "SCIRun Installation Guide for Linux (v 1.24.2)", installation from RPMs section.

When attempting to start SCIRun i get the following error message:

[root@linwork bin]# ./scirun
./scirun: error while loading shared libraries: liblapack.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

the SCIRun parent directory is in /usr/local/ as expected...
would someone be able to point me to where should this file be located so that i may track the error
