[SCIRUN-USERS] RGBA volumes?

There was a thread on the ImageVis3d list that reminded me I wanted to
try something...
Does anybody have an example of working with RGBA volumes in SCIRun?
For example if I had 2 nrrds that  were the same size how/could I say:

nrrd_a --> R value
nrrd_b --> G value
nrrd_a some operator nrrd_b --> B value
nrrd_a some operator nrrd_b--> A value

and actually render the result?
