Thanks for your reply. My install is an upgrade, maybe that's why I get the problem.

My branch of Seg3D also broke, in this case with warnings that have become errors in gcc 4.6, and because of symbols doubly defined, both in libpng and the PNG lib in ITK.

I'm checking out Seg3D from trunk, and will try to build it. Seg3D2 now builds, but it cannot see the spacing and offset values from my .mat files.
