We just realized a wrong information in the previous message. Please find below the correct infor regarding GCC and Python.

Python 3.2 (r32:88445, Apr 26 2012, 12:16:18)

[GCC 4.6.3] on linux2

>>>

We found it using the Seg3D2 Python interface.(We have several GCC versions installed for other reasons. )

Thank you again;

Hello Seg3D People

    Object:        Seg3D2 segfault

We just happily compiled/installed Seg3D2 on one of our debian server:

       3.2.0-2-amd64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
        24 GB of memory
    VGA compatible controller:
        NVIDIA Corporation GF100 [Quadro 4000] (rev a3)
        2GB of video mem
       gcc-4.4                                4.4.7-1

    python2.7
python3.2 [both installed, we don't know which one was/is used

    glx-alternative-nvidia                 0.2.1
    libgl1-nvidia-alternatives             295.40-1
    libgl1-nvidia-glx:amd64                295.40-1
    libglx-nvidia-alternatives             295.40-1

We loaded an image series and were able to visualize the orthoslice
views. We then rendered the volume and started turning it
around. After a while of continuous movement the software crashed with
a segmentation fault.

Please let us know if we can provide further info.

Dear Ayla,

I appreciate your prompt help. That did it. It was pretty obvious. Sorry for wasting your time with it.

Cheers,

Hi Sidnei,

Can you try updating your graphics card driver and see if you're still seeing this problem? It looks like you're a few versions behind - the current version for GeForce 9400 GT is 296.10 (http://www.geforce.com/drivers/results/42438).

I have Seg3D running on WinXP 64 and a NVidia 9400 board. The system info is
displayed at the end of this message.

When I load an image stack composed of tif files Seg3D does open the image
stack correctly, understands its x-y-z sizes and is even able to show the voxel
info when passing the mouse over any point. However, no images are displayed
either in the Volume viewer or the orthoslice viewers.

Any hints?

Thank you!
