Hi Caroline,
Yes, I think that having the accented letter would be the problem - the project processing code is probably parsing that incorrectly. I can try experimenting here.
Thanks,
Ayla I tested different paths to save my projects. 1. I saved a project in My Documents then I transfered it on an external drive. Both copies can be opened on my computer. 2. I created another project using the same dataset. I saved this project in a folder in My Documents. This dataset could not be opened. I also transfered this project on an external drive and this copy could be opened by Seg3D. It could also be opened when copied to My Documents. 3. I created another folder different form the one above in My Documents. The project once saved could be opened from its original location. Again, the same dataset was used. So it is really a problem regarding one folder. This folder was named "Maîtrise". I think it may be the accent on the "i" that prevents the project from being read. Do you think it's possible? Hi Caroline,
I couldn't reproduce your Windows bug. I was able to write and then read project files on a similar Windows workstation to and from folders where I had appropriate read and write access control permissions, and was not allowed to write project files to folders where I did not have write permissions. It's possible that your project files contain corrupted data - would it be possible for you to send a project that you can't open properly?
For the image orientation of BMP files (and other, the origin is set to (0,0,0) and the image direction is set to (1, 0, 0), (0, 1, 0), (0, 0, 1) - this may differ from the other software you have been using, and the origin may be set up in a different location in the viewer as well.
Ayla Hello, I am using windows 7, 64-bit. My images are in bmp. Thank you, Caroline Lehoux Université du Québec à Rimouski
Hi Caroline,
Thank you for the suggestions and for reporting these bugs.
For the first bug, can you tell me which Windows version you're using and if it's 32 or 64 bit?
For the second, are you reading in DICOM images or another format?
Thanks,
Ayla Hello, 1. I can't save seg3D projects in any other folder than My Documents. If I save it in any other folder including one that is part of My Documents, I can't reopen it the next time. It reads untitle project in the bar and my images are not loaded. It works fine as long as it is saved in my documents. I have tried changing the default folder, but it didn't change anything. 2. I have been working with another software (CtAN) provided by the CT-scan company (Skyscan). I took me a while to notice it, but it seems like there is inconsistencies between Seg3D and their software regarding the left and right side of my specimens. In seg3D, the images appear like in a miror. The left side becomes the right side even ifI don't touch the arrows (Flip the data visually). New tools for segmentation like a magic wand (automatically detect the density and trace the entire area) should be developped. Another feature that is missing is the possibility to draw on one image out of two with the paint brush tool and interpolate the segmentation. I have used a software that implements this tool before and it is really useful with large datasets.
