Allen,

Optimize::IterateCallback is called in both cases, but during Initialization, the m_disable_checkpointing flag is set, so the checkpointing doesn't happen.  I don't know the justification.

I'm planning at some point to replace the checkpointing with a mechanism to store a lot more information, probably in a single file that Studio can replay.

Thanks Alan,

So then Optimize::IterateCallback is only accessed during the “optimize” phase. Given both the splitting and finial optimization use the same optimization, what is triggers its usage. Give there are no comments it is really hard to know what does what.

Cheers,

Allen,

I’m not aware of a feature to dump every iteration during the Initialization phase.

Hi,

I am wondering how one can get the points to be dumped out for each iteration during the splitting phase??? I can dump them during the finial optimization stage via the check points. But want to dump them during the split optimization.

Cheers,

Allen
