Hi Brecca,

ShapeWorksStudio is not designed to handle large cohorts. The maximum size of the cohort is mostly function of your machine (memory, graphics driver, CPU). So, I would recommend that you try out with a representative subset of your data to come up with the best algorithmic parameters that would work for your cohort and then try out the command line tools for the whole data (https://github.com/SCIInstitute/shapeworks/releases).

It is also worth checking if groom stalls for a specific image or not. Please note that all input images (shapes) are assumed to share origin, voxel spacing, and volume size.

thanks and best regards
Shireen

Hello,

I am using ShapeWorks Studio and have encountered an issue with it crashing that is seemingly related to the number of surfaces within the workspace. When the surfaces exceed 60, a Critical Error that reads ‘Error: Unknown exception’ is thrown, and the groom step stalls. Do you know of a solution to this problem?

Thank you in advance for your help.
