Hi,

Can you help us resolve some differences in the functionality and results we are seeing between Studio and command line?  We have tried to run nearly identical jobs in Studio vs Command line to illustrate what we are seeing (I can send the files if you would like).

1.       Cutting plane: The cutting plane does not appear work in command line.  We have double-checked the format of the plane coordinates in both the text files used for Studio and old setup files I was using circa 2013.  We don’t get an error in command line, Shapeworks just seems to ignore the plane.  We’ve played with the adaptivity_mode, which I thought should be set to 3, but it had no effect.  Any suggestions?

2.       Reconstructions in Studio:  We have found that reconstructions in Studio look worse than those from command line, despite the same param files being used in both.  Those from command line look better and more true to the original geometries.  This is really only an issue because the interface of Studio is nice and we would like to use it more.  We also find that Studio fails often during the Optimize step when we have more than 10-15 datasets.

3.       Finally, is there a way to divide data into multiple groups in Studio and have the SSM run on each of group separately?  Again, this is not a huge deal, it’s just something we used to be able to do in command line (haven’t tried recently).

Thanks for your help.  The cutting plane is the biggest issue for us right now.

Mike
