Dear Shapeworks Users and Developers,

I am running into the following error during optimization of a mesh based model and looking for some insight as to how to best figure out what is causing this error.  I have tried upping the verbosity, but I receive no additional insight to the error. I poked around a bit through the documentation and code, but couldn’t figure out what is causing the error. I have adjusted some parameters, but always get the same error; I believe it has occurred during optimization of somewhere between 256 and 1024 particles at various iteration levels. I appreciate if someone can point me to any relevant documentation for figuring out what this error means or how to resolve it.

Interestingly, I have run this model with the same parameters on my windows laptop without error, but receive the error when I run it on my linux desktop (both ShapeWorks-v5.5.0 and latest dev build). I am able to run the femur_mesh use case on the linux desktop without error.

Particle count: 512
Iteration 400, maxchange = 0.54325, minimumTimeStep = 1
General exception caught.
     Returncode: -11
     Output: None

Kind regards,
