It's actually --experimental (i.e. two dashes).. But i think it should
actually be the default now. Might be a bug there.
But i'll also note that tiff stacks are the slowest of our 20 or so supported
formats. Nrrds might serve you better. See the "getting data into iv3d"
manual for more info.
