[IV3D-USERS] export image stack

Hi, I'm new to this list and to IV3. I'm a medical illustrator trying to do a
relatively straightforward operation, I think.
I'd like to load the series of Visible Human images from the NIH and then
export the image stack in the 3 axes. I tried a test with the sample file,
hand16.uvf, and then File > Export to image stack, choosing *.png but IV3 
keeps
crashing.
I'm running a Mac OS 10.8.2 with the 3.0 release.
Am I missing something? Thanks!
