Dear All,
I have a question to ask.
The topic I'm working on is the calculation of the power absorption due to
the induction of eddy currents in the human thorax.
[brief description:]
I reformulated my problem a bit, and re-wrote governing equations I want
to solve. Before I did it, the problem was to find certain potential field
distribution (homog. Neumann problem for Poisson's eq.), then take
gradient of it and multiply the result by conductivity of the medium to
get the flux (representing irrotational part of total currents). But now I
want to find the total flux at once. This is my mixed formulation:
/
|(1/sigma)*J + grad(Phi) = f
<
|div(J) = 0
\
b.c.s. : homogeneous Neumann
to find J - flux (current density) [and additionally as a "garbage" I'll
get Phi - potential field, in which I'm not interested]. Where "sigma" is
the conductivity of the medium and "f" is a forcing function.
[question:]
So, to be able to solve that, I think I'll have to use whether Mixed FEs -
the Raviart-Thomas-Ne'de'lec (3D) or divergence-free (3D) or some
LBB-stable (e.g. triquadratic Lagrangian 27-noded hexahedral) elements. Do
you have such elements in SCIRun package and would it be possible to solve
my mixed problem using SCIRun?
Thank you in advance!
Best regards,
Konstantin Skaburskas
