Hi,

   Just to summarize the information that has been provided on the ATI
question...  With the newest ATI drivers, we have had good luck in
using most of the graphics functionality on the ATI cards.  There are
at least two known bugs that we have run into, but we have provided
work-arounds for these.  Thus, while we tell people who are going out
to buy a new card, that they are probably better off buying an Nvidia
card, you should now be okay using the ATI card you have.  We hope
that the next version of the ATI linux driver will be even better an
allow us to remove the hacks in place to make it work.

   Also know that both ATI and Nvidia cards work (without turning on
the hacks) out of the box on Mac computers.
