Please download and install an rpm containing libpng.so. You can find one here:

http://rpm.pbone.net/index.php3/stat/4/idpl/1865603/com/libpng3-1.2.8-1mdk.i586.rpm.html

Thank you for finding this, I will fix the rpm install pre-requisites for the next release.

However, during the dynamic compilation, there was an error message which says:

/usr/bin/ld: cannot find –lpng

collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
