SCIRun has been well tested on amd dual dual core machines. We recently
discovered a bug with sci-malloc and 64bit buiilds. If you are on the svn
developement build sci-malloc has been disabled by defualt now. If you have
an older version of the source, use --enable-64bit and --disable-sci-malloc
on your configure line. This will let you alloc as much main memory and swap
as you have available.

I forgot to ask also about the AMD x2 (dual-core) processors. Please give any
help. Thanks David Sevilla

memory
Has SCIRun been tested with Intel Dual Core and/or EM64T processors? If I
modify the SRC file, how do I recompile it? Can anyone help on how to free up
some memory when SCIRun is running many iterations? I have 3 GB of RAM and it
uses almost all of it before it crashes. Thanks for your help David Sevilla
