Yes, in some cases it will work... most likely, however, with any
heterogeneous environments it will not.

Yes, use the DISPLAY environment variable ast described there to tell
scirun to display on a remote machine.  (Note, all of SCIRun,
including the Viewer window, will show up on the remote display.)
