That is good to know.  Many of us updated our x11 to

XQuartz 2.3.0 (xorg-server 1.4.0-apple13)

X11-2.3.0_rc3.pkg

This was much more stable. However, the new SCIRun release does not work with this version of x11 and MacOs X 10.5.4. We might have to go back to the standard version until it is fixed.
