Hi,

Thanks for the reactions. The question is just this: what does ShowFieldGlyphs display when you use a colormap? How does it convert tensors into scalar values that it can attach a color to?

The attached figure shows on the left: RGB Conversion (according to the help file these are the principal eigenvectors), in the middle: Colormap Lookup, and on the right: Colormap Lookup with scaling via RescaleColorMap. The min/max from RescaleColorMap (see colorbar on right figure) are the min/max isotropic conductivities in the data set, but this is not what ShowFieldGlyphs displays. For example, the max value from RescaleColorMap is 1.8, but via rescaling with Fixed Scale we found that the red tensors in the figure have a value of around 3.

Could you please describe your problem in more details? I'm currently
using this module as well to visualize vectors with different colors
dependent on some other values. I think can help you.
