Peter,

Is there any particular reason that you need to create a string input rather than just typing directly into the ClipField module.  I looked at it and it appears to be a bug in the tcl update_text function.  I think this problem is fairly wide spread in that many modules have the same issue.  However, unless you really need to concatenate strings, I don't see why you cannot just type directly into the ClipField module.  Ayla is looking into the other bug, but it may take a little bit of work to straighten it out.

I am trying to pass a rather longer string (see picture). If put directly into the ClipField GUI, it works. If attached to the string input, the module generates an error. Do I need some statement into the GUI to refer to the external string?
