Hi Jeroen,

It'd be interesting to note that Seg3D can load now only Matlab v7 files. However, Matlab cannot save >= 2GB to a v7 file, so for relatively large volumes one has to save to v7.3 (that Seg3D cannot read).

An MRI that is just

522x508x1024 double

takes up just over 2GB, so I think this is a problem that is going to get increasingly important.
