Hi Chris,

Can you please send the Seg3D version you are building, the OS version, the 
compiler output, compiler and version information? If there isn't much 
detail, you can enable verbose make output by configuring the make build 
again using cmake in the Seg3D bin directory:

  cmake -DCMAKE_VERBOSE_MAKEFILE:BOOL=ON ../src

We don't have any Solaris machines here - we generally work with and test on 
Linux, Mac OS X and Windows, but given enough information about your system 
we may be able to figure out your build problem.
