Hi all: In case there is anyone local to the Boston on these lists who we have not yet contacted ---- next week, Tue Jun 5 through Fri Jun 8, we will be hosting 2 software developers and a postdoc from CIBC at Northeastern who will give classes and have individual / small group meetings to help people learn to use (and extend) the software. The 3 software packages we will be working with next week are: Seg3D, an interactive 3D segmentation environment BioMESH3D, a batch-mode 3D meshing program, and SCIRun, an interactive simulation and visualization environment. The plan is to have introductory labs / classes at the user level for all 3 packages on Tues. (Seg3D in the AM, BioMESH and SCIRun in the afternoon), labs / classes at the developer level on Wed. afternoon, and use Wed AM, all day Thurs, and Fri AM for individual / small group meetings where you can work with them on you own data sets. Space is limited, so if you or people in your groups are interested please RSVP to Esra Cansizoglu, ataer@ECE.NEU.EDU, cc'ed here. In your RSVP lease let Esra know 1. which program(s) you want to learn about, 2. which labs/classes you want to attend, 3. whether you want to arrange individual / small group meetings and 4. if yes to 3, what your scheduling constraints are We will send locations, times, and some preparation suggestions in response to RSVP requests. Feel free to forward as you think appropriate. best, Dana (and Esra) |
