Ayla,
Could this process work for an obj file as well? We have several objs that we would like to put into seg3d to run Boolean operations on.

Hi Derick,You can't directly convert a STL file (unstructured mesh) back to a NRRD file (regular grid), but it's possible to approximate the original segmentation by mapping the STL file back to a regular grid in our SCIRun software (http://www.scirun.org). I've attached a couple of networks for SCIRun 4 (http://www.sci.utah.edu/download/scirun) that do this, and screen captures of what each network output looks like in Seg3D. If you try this out, please let me know if you have any questions about how to use SCIRun.Ayla_______________________________________________On Jul 5, 2016, at 3:13 PM, derick.davis@ucdconnect.ie wrote:Hello!
I am curious if you might know of a way to convert .stl files to .nrrd files.
I would like to bring my model from GeoMagic software back into Seg3D if
possible. Thank you very much for your time and great software!
thank you and all the best.
