It is possible to do so, but it is certainly not the intended use case of Seg3D.

That being said, simply import the files to your project using the "Import as Single File" option in the file menu. You can select multiple files in the file dialog, each will be imported as a separate layer. The layers will be displayed on the right and you can toggle the visibility of the layers on and off to approximate what you are trying to do.

Note: the pictures will be displayed in grayscale.
