   There are many issues involved in porting SCIRun to Windows.  We
have already spent some time investigating this problem and have
determined that it will take a good deal of effort (by someone
familiar with the system.)  Due to limited resources, this has not
been a high priority.  However, recently a plan was put into place to
make the Window's port happen.  A small amount of resource has been
allocated to this project and a timeline is in place.  Because this is
a secondary project, it is currently estimated that it will take at
least four months.  When the port is complete, we will let everyone
know.

   In the meantime, I strongly suggest that you try finding a Mac or
Linux box as the porting process is painful and time consuming.
