Dear Colleagues and Collaborators,
We would like to invite you attention to an upcoming workshop
about our software:
Software
Tools for Image Based Modeling, Simulation, and Visualization
January 4,
2014 (Saturday)
8:00 am --
5:30 pm
At the SCI
Institute, University of Utah
This workshop will
highlight software systems developed within the NIH/NIGMS Center
for Integrative Biomedical Computing (CIBC) for use in
biomedical research. The tools cover the full pipeline of image
based analysis, modeling, and simulation and are all open-source
programs freely available from the CIBC and SCI Web site.
Target audience:
students, post docs, and faculty interested in learning the
basics of the CIBC software.
Format: a
series of case study presentations, live demos, and hands-on lab
periods for each of the 5 main software tools developed at the
CIBC. There will be CIBC staff, students, and scientists
present to guide all aspects of the workshop and to discuss both
technical and scientific aspects of your applications.
Duration: the
workshop will last all day and include a complimentary lunch and
conclude with an open lab period ideal for trying the CIBC tools
on your own data. For details of the agenda, see http://www.sci.utah.edu/cibcwksp2014-agenda.html
