Hi Sidnei,

There is a video demonstrating the use of the Point Set register method available on the Seg3D website: http://www.sci.utah.edu/gallery2/v/software/seg3d/video/user/12_Registration.html
Tutorial videos including the registration video are available under User Documentation and Tutorials tab at seg3d.org.
The project bug and feature request tracker is available from our GForge portal: https://gforge.sci.utah.edu/gf/project/seg3d2/tracker/.

Other than volume data, Seg3D will report the area of label isosurface (i.e. the area of the triangles that make up the surface). Would that work for your purposes?

Dear colleagues,

Is there any documentation on the Point Set Register method?

I have been using it with great success to register microtomographs of teeth, with great success. But I would need more details on its operation so that we can estimate errors, etc.

I would also like to get back to an oustanding issue: how do we set the voxel size in real world units (mm3, µm3)?

And a final question: is there a way to measure surface area? I know we can measure the volume of masks, but I would need to measure surface area too.

Thank you very much.
