It's not entirely surprising; we wrote a custom nrrd reader for a few
reasons, and so there are probably headers that are not recognized.

I think QVis is your best bet right now, as Jens mentioned. That said,
the NRRD converter lives in Tuvok/IO/NRRDConverter.cpp, and it's pretty
straightforward with respect to how it reads in the header. If you'd
like to delve into that, I'd ask that you follow up on tuvok-developers
instead (information on subscribing is on the wiki).
